WELCOME TO HELL

Hi, welcome to the forum! Saying this with a minor twist, because unless you are extremely good at what you do, as you seems to do by the way, you might find it a little hard to get relevant comments. At least from me, where I thought to see some Africakorps and Vichi French to go berserk, somewhere in Egypth during WW2, battling a mythological serpent..Regards! Anne

This looks great Alain :+:
Is the story a made up adventure, or based on some real event ?

I can't add any helpfull tips as i see you are allready a skillfull sculpter... maybe i can learn from you.

happy sculpting :D

Thanks everyone,
no Peter it's a pure invention of me. It would be an honor for me to give you some advice.
Yes! Anne but as Bert says it is different from what is proposed on this forum.
Now the first figure, the man with the gun, I'm using gray sculpey. The gun is a creation, the copper electric cables allow me to hold it during the creation and painting phase they will be removed at the end.

Fine progress.
When working with Sculpey, do you make everything 'perfectly' smooth before baking ?
Or can it be sanded or filed afterwards.

Alain, i found the answer about sanding... easy to sand and drill.
Seems to me the grey super sculpey is hard to find in the Netherlands ? i haven't found it yet... where did you get it ?

Thank you both Tini and Alain, but i will go for the E-Bay offering (from GreenStuffWorld).
"Oups" is out of stock and when they have it costs € 9 more per package (oeps ;))

Happy Sculpting :+:

Beautiful progress Alain, great job on the pistol gripping hand :+:

How long have you been doing this kind of modelling ?

hi Peter,
and thank you for your comment. I have been making plastic models since I was ten, I worked for many military magazines and for ten years for Tamiya. But today it 's the figurines that I prefer to model. My faces at 35 ° are not great that's why I use commercial resin heads, Historex, hornet,
mk , etc ....

Thanks Alain, for the brief insight of your modelling 'timeline'... sounds impressive !

Thank the artists for their aftermarket heads... i tried sculpting heads in 35 scale and was quickly humbled by the skills of those sculpters who can ;)

bonne salutations :)

Hi,
Peter, Rod thanks for your comments, I appreciate it.
The base colors of the lizard are Tamiya acrylics.
Green XF26, flat green XF5, flat blue XF8, flat yellow XF3 and flat white XF2.
A coat of X22 gloss varnish is then applied to protect these tints, as a long job of painting details will follow. The tongue of the lizard is two cylinders of magic sculp assembled together.
