GAZ-67B Tamiya 1/48

Hello, let me present my current project.

I want to make small diorama with GAZ-67 and 2-3 soldiers inspecting captured V-1. I am inspired by picture as you see below.
You can see my work so far, there still is much work on it.

Concerning the weathering of GAZ - I have oversprayed lower areas with non-diluted buff colour and than made some streakings and tipping with brush damped in MIG brown filter to make various efects. I find this only as beginning for work with pigments, or should I consider it finished?

Comments and tips are appreciated.
Thanks for looking
Petr

Hi Petr,

Colourchoice is very nice, but also the chippings are very subtile and 'in balance'. Small detail would be the silvering decals; did you give them any special treatment ?
I'm very interested what will become of the V1...keep us posted please

Thank you for feedback everybody, I am very pleased!

Frank, you are right with my decals! I can nëver handle those Tamiya decals. I use special decals chemistry, gloss varnish under and over them but it never works - there muste be mistake in my hands 😈

Patrick, I have used Humbrol 120 (inspired by Kristof Pulinckxs SU) and I have added lots of yellow, bit of white and buff for later colour effects. Here is the colour after being painted:

A little progress on GAZ - pigments and wheels.
The window is fresh de-masked, I have to dirt it and solve the awfull grey frame made by surfacer - whad should i do? 😕 🙁
PS - the sizes of this kit are 65 x 35 mm 8)

Hello Petr,

A very nice looking vehicle you got.
Next time , before you place the windows, go along the edges of the windows with a black felt marker pen. It simulates rubber, and you don't see the other color like your grey through it. Or you can spray the inside of the frame that holds the window black. Then you got the same effect.
